For the ninth consecutive year, the long-time media partner of the Essen Motor Show, the Axel Springer Auto Verlag, will use the world's most diverse automobile trade show as a stage to honor important persons of the industry. During the "Evening of Winners," famous race car drivers from the Auto Bild Motorsport magazine's squad as well as pilots from the "speed academy" of the Deutsche Post will be honored. New this year: As a spectacular show opener on the first day, an outdoor event has been planned in which drivers and cars from different race circuits will be presented live.
In the motorsports arena in exhibition hall 7, dare devil drivers will take the audience's breath away. The "pit lane" will once again be the central meeting point for active drivers, fans, sponsors, and race event organizers.
At the leading trade show for the tuning industry, numerous innovations for even more driving pleasure and fun will be celebrated at the auto premiere. Members of the VDAT – Verband der Automobil Tuner [Association of Automobile Tuners] will show what their cars are made of in the noble ambience of the "VDAT Tuning Salon."
To satisfy passionate car-crazy fans, rare and historic cars will also be on view in the "Classic Cars" exhibition area at the Essen Motor Show. In this area, the 100th anniversary of the founding of Alpha Romero will be celebrated during the special exhibition "100 years of Alfa Romeo."
A special highlight of the trade show: Mercedes-Benz will have an exhibit on 100 years of the legendary super sports car from the brand with the star. Additional special exhibits and events will be dedicated to legendary hot rods, the newest design creations from automobile manufacturers and the world's best design studios. Lavishly tuned motorcycles will dazzle spectators in the "speed bike show." ADAC will exhibit the winning cars in its race circuit, and the winners of the Hella Show and Shine Award, a unique tuning competition, will enjoy the spotlight.
TOPauto 2011 will give a sneak preview of the best car innovations nominated by journalists for the coming year at Essen Motor Show. The Essen Motor Show will also make its contribution to this year's European cultural capital with a big show called "Driving Culture RUHR.2010." During this event, 53 extraordinary cars from the 53 RUHR.2010 cities and communities in the RUHR metropolitan region will document the eclectic enthusiasm for the technical and cultural assets of the automobile in the Ruhr region of Germany.

The racing series of the ADAC from the car, motorbike and cart sports will be presented. The winning cars from the ADAC GT Masters and the ADAC Formel Masters, the fastest bikes from the ADAC MX Masters and the ADAC Junior Cup will be on show. The drivers of the series will also be in Essen as the award ceremonies for this year's winners are being held here.

SKN will be presenting the new Z24, one of five vehicles, at the ESSEN MOTOR SHOW. This two-seater catapults from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. Provided with a sound which will definitely give you goose pimples, the Bavarian convertible growls towards the 300 km/h mark and gives the impression of being fast-revving, impulsive, powerful and controllable. The BILSTEIN B16 adjustable suspension developed in co-operation presses the BBS CH motorsport rims with Conti tyres onto the asphalt.

A total of 55 motorcyclists and motorbikes rolled into the ESSEN MOTOR SHOW 2009. Street fighters, choppers, classic bikes, and scooters also caused a sensation as well as the world premiere of the asphalt fighters "the Stormbringers," the fastest street bikes in the world. TV stations like DMAX and RTL accompanied the exhibitors for a day while they set up their exhibits as well as during the burn-out on the trade show grounds. There is no question: The motorcycle theme is a burning passion among visitors to the ESSEN MOTOR SHOW.
Last year's exhibition area of 300 square meters is going to be expanded this year. In addition to one-of-a-kind bikes, manufacturers of sporty models will also be specifically addressed. German actor Ralf Richter, better known as "Kalle Grabowski" (Bang Boom Bang), will also give the award jury some celebrity support. Launched in 2008. the HELLA Show & Shine Award has become the Olympics of the tuning scene and will introduce 10 outstanding tuning cars in Essen. As the creator of the HELLA Show & Shine Award, the online magazine VAU-MAX.de will once again host the award. Voting can be done both online at VAU-MAX.de as well as on site at the ESSEN MOTOR SHOW. Last year more than 20,000 tuning fans voted. The Verband der Deutschen Automobil Tuner VDAT [Association of German Automobile Tuners] also applauded the new tuning award.
Those interested in participating can register via e-mail, the best-looking and most finely tuned cars are being sought for this year's award. In addition to paint jobs, wheel rims, performance, and refurbished interiors, the jury will also be looking for creative lighting concepts and adherence to traffic safety directives. This year 10 tuning enthusiasts will have the opportunity to see their cars among the highlights of the ESSEN MOTOR SHOW. However, we have no intention of resting on our laurels: This year the ESSEN MOTOR SHOW 2010 is relaunching with a new concept, a young team, and fresh ideas. For the ESSEN MOTOR SHOW, relaunching the concept and the show's overall look represents a shift to a higher gear, in other words, we are kicking into sprint mode. The dedicated event organizers have set the goal of becoming the leading European event in the "sports car" sector.

Visitors will be able to get a close-up look at the race cars in the pit lane, which will be set up in Hall 3. Another important program item will be scheduled autograph times during which fans can obtain driver autographs in the driver's paddock, which is also located in Hall 3.
