Since 2012, the private PIXL VISN media arts academy in Cologne's MediaPark has been successfully training 3D Visual Effects Artists. This professional field covers many multimedia areas such as movies, TV series, video games or advertising. And especially here in advertising, there is a great demand for vehicle visualizations.

The special thing about the concept of the 18-month full-time intensive training course for Visual Effects (VFX) and 3D Animation, which is unique in Germany, is that our lecturers themselves work in responsible positions in the entertainment industry and have already worked on well-known projects such as "Disney's The Lion King", "Avengers: Endgame", "Disney's Aladdin", "Black Panther", "Guardians of the Galaxy" and "X-Men: Apocalypse".

At the end of the highly practice-oriented training in small groups, in which lessons and projects constantly alternate, the most important goal is the creation of a demo reel by each student. This Demo Reel shows the personal application portfolio and, after successful completion, in conjunction with the industry-recognized PIXL VISN Diploma, provides the foundation for entry into the entertainment industry.

Today, PIXL VISN graduates work in the world's largest VFX studios and on well-known projects such as "Game of Thrones", "Stranger Things", "Disney's Dumbo", "Babylon Berlin", "Star Trek: Discovery" or "Captain Marvel". But also in the gaming sector, PIXL VISN graduates are employed by Electronic Arts or Cloud Imperium Games, among others. Especially because of the strong networking in the industry, PIXL VISN graduates have a big advantage in the future market of visual effects.
