Hollywood on Four Wheels: Essen Motor Show Celebrates 25 Years of Fast & Furious

Hollywood is coming to Essen: To celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Fast and the Furious, Essen Motor Show and its partner ChromeCars are bringing original vehicles from the Fast & Furious franchise to Messe Essen from 28 November to 6 December 2026 (Preview Day: 27 November). The major special exhibition in Hall 1 will bring these iconic movie cars right into the heart of the modern classics section, giving visitors a unique opportunity to experience a piece of Hollywood automotive history up close. With around 500 exhibitors, the festival for car enthusiasts will offer a special attraction for everyone who grew up with Brian, Dom and their legendary cars.

At the heart of the special exhibition is a real highlight: the “Fab Four” from 2 Fast 2 Furious. This quartet consists of four original movie cars from the legendary opening race of the second instalment: Brian O’Conner’s 1999 Nissan Skyline GT-R R34, Slap Jack’s gold 1994 Toyota Supra, Suki’s pink 2000 Honda S2000 and Orange Julius’ 1993 Mazda RX-7. Four cars, four unmistakable looks – together forming one of the most iconic line-ups in the entire film franchise.

Seven Years to Bring Four Movie Icons Together

Movie car specialist ChromeCars spent seven years assembling this quartet in its collection. At Essen Motor Show, fans will now have the opportunity to see these iconic vehicles together and up close. And that is not all: The exhibition will also feature additional original vehicles driven by the characters portrayed by Paul Walker and Vin Diesel, as well as motorcycles from the franchise. A few surprises will remain under wraps until the show opens.

The ChromeCars movie car collection in Laasdorf, Thuringia, has earned its nickname “Little LA” for good reason. The name was coined in 2019 by Cody Walker, brother of the late Fast & Furious star Paul Walker. During a visit, the atmosphere of the collection reminded him of Hollywood. Since then, “Little LA” has become synonymous with a place where automotive movie history lives on – and now it is bringing that special Hollywood feeling to Essen.

Bringing Hollywood Closer to the Fans

“Fans don’t have to fly to Hollywood to celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Fast and the Furious. We want to bring the stories and original vehicles to life here in Europe. Essen is where we’re kicking things off,” explains Kai Nieklauson, founder of ChromeCars.

Ralf Sawatzki, Project Manager of Essen Motor Show, is also looking forward to the special exhibition: “Fast & Furious has shaped an entire generation of car enthusiasts and brought the excitement of tuning to audiences far beyond the car scene. We’re bringing vehicles to Essen that many of our visitors have only ever seen on the big screen – and now they’ll be within touching distance in Hall 1.”

For ChromeCars and Essen Motor Show, the anniversary special also marks the next chapter in a long-standing partnership. NBCUniversal is supporting the preparations, while additional companies and long-time associates are contributing to the fan experience. Special offers and exclusive merchandise highlights are also being planned.
